In 2002, Cincinnati Landmark Productions transformed a beloved neighborhood movie house into the Covedale Center for the Performing Arts. After 25 years of sellouts, snickers, soaring ballads and standing ovations, it's time to do it again.
Today, CLP is proud to announce “Transform the Covedale — Again,” a campaign to rebuild the patron experience at the Covedale from the floor up.
What's Changing
The renovation touches nearly every part of the patron experience: new seating with real legroom, expanded restrooms, brighter auditorium lighting, new theatrical lighting and sound, improved accessibility, a new roof, new HVAC, and a refreshed look throughout the house.
Why Now
The City of Cincinnati and the State of Ohio have already stepped up with significant public investment in this project, and CLP itself has committed operating funds to get it started. The project is real, and it's moving: construction begins after the closing performance of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, the final show of the 2026–27 season, with doors hopefully opening in Fall 2027.
