Our 07 08 Saturday Morning Children’s Series will conclude the season with a performance by MadCap Productions with Long Lost Stories.  MadCap Productions is a unique style of puppet theatre which combines giant puppets with actors!

In the center of a forbidden attic sits a long-forgotten trunk. Two young explorers, Chris and Jessie, discover the trunk and are trapped by its secrets. Chris becomes the prisoner of the monster, Jasper, and can be freed only when Jessie finds a story that Jasper does not know. Will Jessie save Chris? Join in the adventure and let your imagination soar in this exciting treasure of tales from around the world. Stories include: King Grisley Beard (Germany and New Zealand), Osgood and the Dragon (Denmark and Greece) and The Rainbow Goblins (Italy).   Appropriate Age Level: 4 - 12 years old.

Is hosting its
6th Annual Summer Arts & Crafts Fair
WE ARE SEEKING ARTISTS!

The Covedale Center for the Performing Arts, located at 4990 Glenway Avenue in Western Hills will present The Covedale Performing and Fine Arts Fair!  A free-to-the-public event, to be held Saturday, August 23, 2008, 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. 

Musical artists of various styles will provide the atmosphere, while artists and crafts persons will display/sell their wares throughout the lobby, theatre auditorium on stage and outdoors.

The Covedale is seeking submissions by artists of various media to display in this setting.

  1. Artists in every media are encouraged to display.
  2. Artists are encouraged to sell their work at the Fair.
  3. Artists will need to provide their own displays, booths or tables.
  4. Limited electrical power will be available. Artists will be responsible to provide their own extension cords and low-wattage lights.
  5. Artists must provide three (3) clear photos of the work to be displayed. These photos are not returnable.
  6. Registration Forms are due by July 16, 2008.
  7. Artists will be notified of their selection no later than August 1, 2008.
  8. Space Assignment, Load-in and Load-out information will follow at time of acceptance.

The Covedale Performing and Fine Arts Fair will be growing in the years ahead. We hope you’ll be part of this year’s Fair and help us build the event for the future.
